Tiny on a Large Scale

After completing their larger company culture video, Nanotech returned to us in 2022 asking for a slick highlight reel for a convention, showcasing two new products. We combined b-roll we shot at their facility of the machines with product footage shot in our studio, and 2D and 3D animation to make an exciting video for their booth at Photonics West. It really was a mixture of every skill set we have to make this mixed source fast-action reel happen in such a quick turnaround.

We consider the 2022 reel a success as the following year Nanotech asked us to film another set of reels for the same convention. For 2023, we filmed very small lenses at our studio using the Laowa probe lens, to get macro photography in a unique wide angle view. We had a blast trying out new lighting techniques that you can only do when your subject is the size of a fingernail.
